New Code of Professional Conduct Adopted

A new Code of Professional Conduct for Case Managers was adopted by the Commission for Case Manager Certification (CCMC) at the CCMC Annual Meeting in June 2004, and became effective on January 1, 2005.

All case managers, both certified and non-certified, are urged to review the revised Code thoroughly and become familiar with its standards and procedures. The main purpose of the Code is to not be punitive, but to help inform and guide case managers as they work through the ethical dilemmas that they face every day, and the revisions more accurately address the situations experienced by many case managers today.
